Acacia Courtney is an American TV Analyst and Broadcast Journalist in the world of horse racing. She covering the biggest events around the country such as the Triple Crown, Breeders’ Cup and the Pegasus World Cup.

She is the founder and president of the 501(c)(3) organization Racing for Home, Inc., which is dedicated to ensuring a second career and forever home for Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses. Courtney is a graduate of Fordham University with a degree in Communications and a minor in Theology. Acacia is classically trained ballerina who has performed in the opening number of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Courtney currently serves as a host and reporter for The Stronach Group, covering racing at Gulfstream Park. She has worked as a content contributor for America’s Best Racing and also as an analyst and reporter for the Horse Racing Radio Network. In 2011 she founded Racing for Home, a non-profit organization, which is dedicated to repurposing Off-Track Thoroughbreds for brand new careers after the racetrack. The mission finally gave rise to a full-blown passion for the sport of racing. Well, she had also secured herself in Top 16 in Miss Connecticut 2014.

Acacia has been added to the Saratoga Live broadcast team for the 2019 meet. Saratoga Live, which launched in 2016 in partnership with Fox Sports, will widely expand its programming during the 2019 meet, with live daily coverage of the Saratoga meet set to air on FS2 nearly every race day at 1 p.m. ET.

This expansion will result in close to 200 hours of live programming from Saratoga over the course of the 2019 meet. In addition to the daily national coverage on FS2, Saratoga Live will be available through regional sports networks including MSG, FOX Sports Prime Ticket, Fox Sports San Diego and Altitude Sports.

“I’m very excited to be joining the program,” Courtney said. “I grew up in Connecticut and always watched the racing at Saratoga, so to get the chance to join the team this summer is a dream come true. I’ve been around horses my entire life and they’ve truly given me everything. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to a great meet.”

Courtney joins a Saratoga Live broadcast team that includes Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens, veteran hosts Greg Wolf and Laffit Pincay III, Andy Serling, Maggie Wolfendale, Tom Amoss, Jonathon Kinchen and former Major League Baseball all-star Paul LoDuca. Larry Collmus, NYRA announcer and voice of the Triple Crown, will provide live race calls throughout the season.

In addition to Saratoga Live, the 150th running of the Grade 1, $1.25 million Runhappy Travers will be carried live on the FOX Broadcast Network as part of a special one-hour telecast on Saturday, August 24 beginning at 5 p.m. ET.
