Alex Holley is an American journalist and an anchor. She is known for her work as a multimedia journalist and anchor for the newscasts at KOMU-TV. She appeared in various television shows before featuring as ‘The New Girl’ on the Fox Network in 2014. Initially she worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the WMBF-TV’s morning news programs in Myrtle Beach, South California. Alice also covered a range of live stories, tropical storms, and hurricanes in the network.

Alex created a recognized community service program for students called “SWIPES Make a Difference.” The program continues to help college students donate unused meal plans to those in need in local communities. Alex still uses that service spirit as she volunteers with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

She is an award-winning journalist who came to FOX 29 from WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the station’s morning news programs. Alex covered a wide range of live stories, from hurricanes and tropical storms to the 2012 Republican Presidential Primary Debates.
Prior to that, she worked as an anchor, reporter, and producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. Alex also served as anchor for the innovative multi-source news website, Newsy.com. You can see her in the digital journalism display in the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
Alex announced on August 17, 2018 Friday morning she will be taking a break from Fox29’s morning show, Good Day Philadelphia, for a couple of weeks.
