Brent Hunsaker has been on a remarkable journey throughout his professional life, predominantly in the picturesque landscapes of the western United States. His career has been marked by a strong connection to the natural beauty and diverse communities in the region.

These included a school building expedition to Kenya, a humanitarian airlift mission to the old Soviet Republic of Georgia, and covering the historic swim of two brothers across the English Channel, en route to the beaches of France. He was also privileged to chronicle the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney and follow the 2002 Olympic Torch Run from Athens to Salt Lake City.
Brent’s journalistic adventures extended to several countries, including Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Guatemala, where he visited multiple times. Despite his global travels, his heart always lay in the western United States, and he cherished returning to the region.
The western states hold a special place in Brent’s heart as he has family connections in Boise, Pocatello, and Lava Hot Springs. His roots in the area run deep, with his grandparents residing in Montpelier and his parents tying the knot in Paris, Idaho.
For the past 21 years, Brent has made Salt Lake City his home, firmly planting his roots in the city. Now, he embarks on a new chapter in Boise, where he aspires to establish an equally strong connection and become an integral part of the community.
