Carly Cassady is a valued member of the Pinpoint Weather team, where she serves as a meteorologist. You can catch her bright and early on weekday mornings as she delivers the weather forecast on Daybreak at 6 a.m. and the FOX31 Morning News at 8 a.m.
Originally hailing from Lenexa, Kansas, a charming suburb just outside of Kansas City, Carly grew up experiencing a wide range of weather phenomena. Despite her extensive exposure to various weather patterns, she has yet to witness a tornado in person, a goal she hopes to achieve by going storm chasing someday.
Carly pursued her education at the University of Memphis in Tennessee, where she also pursued her passion for soccer, playing on the women’s team for all four years and achieving the honor of winning a conference championship. She graduated with a B.S. in Geography with a concentration in Meteorology, complemented by minors in broadcast journalism and Spanish.
Her meteorological journey commenced in Twin Falls, Idaho, at KMVT, where she served as the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter. In her pursuit of excellence, she continued her education online at Mississippi State University to earn the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal. Carly then spent over two years in College Station, Texas, at KBTX before moving to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she assumed the role of weekend morning meteorologist at WXII. In February of 2019, she proudly received her CBM seal (#816).
Beyond her career, Carly shares her life with a beloved Dalmatian named Molly, whom she adopted from the Dalmatian Rescue of Colorado in Fort Collins in 2015. Together, they embark on hiking adventures and eagerly explore the scenic trails that Colorado has to offer.
Carly is thrilled to be in Denver, where she can provide weather forecasts for the ever-changing conditions. With family ties to the area and past visits to Denver, Steamboat, Vail, and the surrounding regions for vacations and soccer events, she now proudly calls Colorado home.
