Christine Pae is an American journalist. She is delighted to be a news anchor and reporter at KOAT news team.
She anchors weekends on Action 7 News More in the Morning from 6 – 9 a.m. Christine comes from KOLD in Tucson, Arizona where she began as a multimedia journalist and worked her way up to breaking news anchor.

Before she moved to the southwest, Christine spent two years reporting at WAFF in Huntsville, Alabama. She got her start in broadcast news at KSWB in San Diego where she worked as an associate producer and assignment desk editor.
She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego where she attended college (go Tritons!) and Northwestern University, where she received her graduate degree in journalism.
Christine loves exploring the outdoors and dabbles in watercolor painting when she can. She looks forward to discovering the Land of Enchantment’s many gems so please send her recommendations on everything New Mexico has to offer!
Christine Pae Doug Fernandez
When a live newscast airing on New Mexico’s KOAT-TV experienced a technical snag, veteran anchor Doug Fernandez made it abundantly clear that he was not having it.
Fernandez was in the KOAT Channel 7’s studio in Albuquerque on Wednesday evening in July 2017 teeing up a breaking news report about a double shooting when something went wrong.
In the video of the on-air snafu, which has since gone viral on YouTube, Fernandez tells his audience that reporter Christine Pae is ‘at the scene with what we know,’ then waits for the live link to kick in, his script in hand.
