Cody Holyoke is an American award-winning anchor and storyteller. He joined KMBC 9 News in August 2017, with you bright and early weekday mornings for ‘First News’ on KMBC. Cody got an opportunity to tell meaningful stories alongside some of the best journalists such as Rob Hughes and photojournalists in the business.

Cody also worked as an anchor/reporter at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During his time there, he was front and center, following a number of major news stories. Cody was live on the scene after a lone gunman terrorized a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, and he tracked an historic push to recall a sitting governor. He also covered a number of severe weather events, most notably showing viewers the aftermath of a major tornado that leveled the town of Washington, Illinois. Cody earned multiple awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.

Cody started his professional career at WSFA-TV in Montgomery, Alabama. As an anchor and reporter there, his work exposed and changed a major flaw in how sensitive medical records were discarded. Cody also helped end the manhunt for a shooter who killed his wife on a college campus. He showed viewers the devastation brought on by an historic tornado outbreak. Cody also followed the cleanup efforts of the massive Gulf oil spill, which crippled the economy along the Gulf Coast.
