Jeff Zausch Biography
Jeff Zausch is an American Survivalist who is a master of extreme environments, whether they are desert, alpine, arctic, or tropical. Pushing himself to the limit and overcoming what most people think is physically impossible is what drives him.
Jeff is a primitive survival skill expert in fire starting, shelter construction, and hunting, flaunted his ability in the popular Discovery’s show Dual Survivor.

Jeff was born in Pocatello, Idaho to the survivor father as his father survived his first open-heart surgery when he was five and half weeks old. He went through nine open-heart surgeries in his lifetime and gave Jeff inspiring lesson to conquer, overcome, and survive. His father might have passed away with long struggle, but he left a legacy to follow, and he didn’t let his late father down.

Jeff married his longtime girlfriend, Gabrielle Zausch after years of dating. The couple got married on March 8 2013. When Jeff starred alongside Eva in Naked and Afraid, many predicted that nudity would affect his relationship. But the relationship grew stronger, and his wife even shared a lunch with Eva.

In TV series Naked and Afraid XL Jeff appeared alongside Eva Robert, and they competed for their survival in Madagascar. It’s kill or be killed as survivalists Jeff and Eva journey to Madagascar and take on the unforgiving Massif D’Isalo – its nasty boa constrictors, abundant black widow spiders, and harsh desert landscape.
Jeff Zausch Naked and Afraid XL
He made his first wilderness appearance in Discovery’s popular TV series Naked and Afraid XL in the 1st season which premiered on 12th July 2015. He appeared alongside Eva Robert, and they competed for their survival in Madagascar.

His survival skill and efforts were rewarded when he was cast in Dual Survivor in 9th Season with EJ Snyder which aired on 24th August 2016. The show received negative reviews as the show had high standards from the likes of Cody Lundin, Matt Graham, Joseph Teti, and Dave Canterbury to name few of the elite group.
Laura Zerra and Jeff will be taking on a never before attempted 60 day challenge in jungles of the Philippines, starting 20 days earlier than the rest of the survivalists. Their journey will premiere on the Discovery GO original series, Naked and Afraid: Savage on May 19, 2019.

Jeff Zausch Extreme Survivalist
Jeff is an extreme survivalist and knows how to manipulate things around him for his survival. Jeff is trained expert in primitive fire starting, shelter construction, water sourcing, and primitive hunting.
He developed his love and respect for the outdoors as a boy in the mountains of Idaho. Jeff spent countless hours in the mountains, learning the ways of nature and following in his family tradition of hunting. As a young man he became an expert tracker, hunter and trapper and by his early twenties he had already summited many of the highest peaks in the Northwest United States.
Whether hunting or summiting mountains Jeff continues to further his survival knowledge by mastering all environments he encounters. Best known for being on Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid and Naked And Afraid XL, Jeff has yet to find an landscape that he could not overcome with his primitive survival skills, but he plans to keep searching and pushing the limits of what others say is “impossible”.
