Jessica Gonzalez Biography

Jessica Gonzalez is an American journalist. She is the Traffic Anchor for the KFOX14 Morning News from 5 to 9. Jessica joined the KFOX14 team in 2014 as an assignments editor.

She later spent several years as a digital content producer for both KFOX14 and CBS4. During her time with the digital team, Jessica covered events like the Pope’s historic visit to the Borderland. In November 2018, she became the Traffic Anchor for the KFOX14 Morning News.

Jessica graduated from Irvin High School and received her degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from New Mexico State University in 2007. During her time at New Mexico State University, Jessica became involved in the production of the student-run newscast, News 22 where she filled in on the anchor desk.

Jessica has kept her personal life away from public. Nothing much is known about her love life. However she has  a son and two daughters and a cute boxer named Mia. Before she graduated from college, Jessica interned at local media news stations. Later she became part of the morning show at the Univision affiliate in El Paso in the production team before being offered a job at ESPN. In 2008 Jessica then made the big move to Connecticut to work for the world-wide leader in sports. While at ESPN, Jessica was part of the Global Operations Department and worked in production on several shows and events such as SportsCenter, Monday Night Football and Sunday Night Baseball.

In June 11 2018 Jessica reported a case where a former Catholic priest was accused of sexually abusing a minor. She said that according to police Miguel Luna, 68, was arrested at his home on Keltner Avenue on Monday afternoon. An investigation was launched after the alleged victim came forward saying Luna had sexually assaulted her for several years when she was a child. The alleged abuse happened in the late ’90s and stopped when she moved away.

Being a journalist at heart, Jessica decided to come back to the Borderland continue her career in news.
