When Jessy was a child she modeled and appeared in television commercials. She began performing in musical theatre at age 12. Jessy lived in Buffalo Grove, Illinois and graduated from Buffalo Grove High School in 2004. After graduating at age of 18 she moved to Los Angeles and began working in TV. She first played Susan Davison Hallmark Channel’s Jane Doe series of television movies in 2005, She also appeared in four episodes of the television series Veronica Mars as Hannah Griffith, who becomes Logan Echolls’ girlfriend.

She starred in the film Keith and as Tracy on American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile in 2008 . While playing her role, Maxim recognized her for her sex appeal in appearances on their website in their “Today’s Girl” feature. In that same year, she was cast as Lennie Priestley in Split Decision, a failed pilot for The CW Television Network.

Jessy joined the main cast for the first season of the TNT science-fiction series Falling Skies in 2011. Her character was reduced to a recurring role in seasons two and three, then to guest appearances in season four.

In 2010 she appeared in Tony Scott’s film Unstoppable (2010), playing the estranged wife of Chris Pine’s character.

She appeared in four episodes of the television series Once Upon a Time, playing Cinderella/Ashley Boyd between 2011 and 2016.  Jessy repeated the role in the 2013 premiere of Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.

She starred in the swiftly cancelled military drama series Last Resort in 2012.

In season four of the series Nashville Jessy has had a recurring role, playing Cash Gray.
