Jillian McCarthy embarked on her career journey at KREX in June 2019, right after graduating from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. A native of Monmouth County, New Jersey, she grew up near the beach and treasures spending time with her family and friends.
During her college years, Jillian took on the role of anchor for MCTV’s “Weekly News Update.” She also gained valuable industry experience through an internship at WTNH News 8 in New Haven, CT, an experience she holds dear.
Jillian’s passion for storytelling ignited in high school, leading her to pursue journalism as her career path. She’s thrilled to be part of the Western Slope community and is thoroughly enjoying all the outdoor activities the region has to offer. Covering a diverse range of stories in the Grand Valley, she couldn’t have asked for a better place to kickstart her career.
