Julie was first hired by Emily’s List to work on the congressional campaign of Dale McCormick. Dale was running in a Democratic congressional primary in Maine’s 1st Congressional District. During that election, Julie worked for Rep. Frank Pallone of New Jersey, whose campaign she successfully managed against Mike Ferguson.
Julie was the first woman to manage the New Jersey Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 1999. During this time the Democratic caucus gained three seats in the General Assembly. Subsequently she served as the communications director at the New Jersey Democratic State Committee. She became the Washington, DC-based Communications Director for Jon Corzine in 2001 upon his election to the United States Senate.
Julie founded Comprehensive Communications Group, a political consulting and public relations firm in 2003. It has worked on behalf of Fortune 500 corporations, elected officials and non-profit organizations. Senators Cory Booker and Frank Lautenberg and Reps.
