Miss Georgia USA 2019 held their grand finale on 17th November 2018. Katerina was crowned as the new winner. She will now represent Georgia in Miss USA 2019 to be held next year. She is also has a chance to represent the United States in Miss Universe 2019, if she wins the national crown.
After she won, Katerina took to her social media account to share the news of her winning and the excitement that she could not hold back. She wrote, “Wow, did I really just win Miss Georgia USA 2019 yesterday? Feels like a dream! Thank you for all the sweet messages & support! Can’t wait to get my year started, I have quite a bit planned!”
Katerina was crowned by her predecessor, Miss Georgia USA 2018 Marianny Egurrola. Marianny represented Georgia in Miss USA 2018 where, even though she did not win the crown, she managed to secure a position in the Top 10 during the finale. So the pressure is real for Katerina as she will have to do equally well in the finale, if not better.
