Lee Rosbach is an American reality TV personality, author and yacht Captain. He gained fame with the TV reality series Below Deck that aired first in 2013. He began his career as a captain in his mid-thirties. Although he started his profession a little late in comparison to others, Lee has received equal respect and love from his fans.

Lee was born and raised in the landlocked city of Saginaw, Michigan. His father, Harold Rosbach passed away on July 9, 2002. Harold was a veteran of the United States Army in the Second World War. Coincidentally, Lee shares the name with his dad – His full name too is Harold Lee Rosbach. Lee has six siblings and he is the second oldest.

Captain Lee is the main cast member on the popular Bravo Network show Below Deck. Lee is also a Yacht captain he discovered his love for the water later in life when he was managing a restaurant in Turks & Caicos and an acquaintance invited him to serve as a mate on a sailboat delivery to earn extra cash. Lee obtained his Captain’s license at age of 35 and left the restaurant business behind to pursue his newfound passion. Lee usually prefers charter jobs to private ones as he gets to meet more people & has always thought of himself as a people person.
Some of the mega yachts that have since been under his command include 163’ Cuor di Leone, 162’ Mustang Sally, 155’ Ohana, 140’ Just Enough, 135’ Atlantica, 135’ Feadship Sea Ghost, 120′ Sovereign, Pauly D, Insatiable, Morganstar and Mostro. Next on the horizon for Captain Lee is his upcoming memoir Running Against the Tide that will be available in Winter 2018.
Cuor di Leone was featured on the first season of the reality series “Below Deck.” For publicity and privacy issues the boat was renamed “Honor” in the series. During the next few seasons, others boats were used and sometimes the whole crew was changed.
