Marie’s career has taken her to KYTV in Springfield, MO (Bass Pro Shop!), Phoenix, AZ (Palm Trees and Mountains!) and She has been deep in the heart of Texas since August of 2013.

My brother Chip is an athlete, artist, dancer and world traveler. My life is richer because of him! For that reason, I love to support the special needs community whenever I can. It’s very true that we’re more alike than different!

Dallas-based WFAA8 hired Marie has a replacement for former anchor/reporter Jonathan Betz. KTVK and WFAA8 are owned by Dallas-based Belo Corp., although not for much longer. All 20 of the Belo TV stations were sold to Gannett Co., Inc. on June 13th 2013. She was born and raised in Chicago she then moved south for college to the Missouri School of Journalism. While finishing her degree, she anchored and reported for the University-owned NBC affiliate, KOMU.

Marie joined KYTV , the NBC affiliate in Springfield, Mo as a reporter and 5 p.m. anchor after graduation. During her time in the Ozarks, she covered the EF-5 tornado that hit nearby Joplin, Mo. Marie won a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her reports on a veteran who committed suicide after his case was mishandled at a regional VA hospital.
