Rob graduated from the University of Southern California with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Political Science and Communication. During his time there he was on the Dean’s list and a recipient of the Order of Troy, presented to the top 140 of 4,000 graduating seniors for superior academics, leadership, and service.

At USC Rob was host of “Political Platforum” and “CU@USC” which was voted best college television talk show by Spin Magazine. The show reaches nearly 3 million homes in the greater Los Angeles area. For his work, Rob was voted best male host and best senior host. Some of his most memorable interviews include Star Wars creator George Lucas, actor Laurence Fishburne, Grammy Award winning band “Train,” and former USC quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Rob is a happily married man. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife Rhea and sons Robbie and Rowan, playing guitar and bass, surfing, snowboarding, and golfing.

Rob and his wife Rhea are also active supporters of their church, the 2LT Jered Ewy Memorial Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Previously Rob volunteered for the Oklahoma City VA Hospital, and currently volunteers at the Kansas City VA Hospital.

Apart from her journalist career Rob also serves as a Light Infantry Officer and Rifle Platoon Leader in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Currently  he is assigned to C CO “Cold Steel” 1/179, 45 IBCT. He has been trained in urban operations and tactical room clearing by the 19th Special Forces Group in Fort Lewis, WA. Rob was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Certificate of Achievement, and a Citation of Commendation from the Oklahoma State Senate and Oklahoma House of Representatives for being 1 of 16 out of 64 soldiers to graduate from Officer Candidate School, and for his commitment to education. Rob is also a board member and Director of Operations for Honoring America’s Warriors, an Oklahoma based military/Veterans charity that is expanding into the Kansas City market.
