Stephanie served as a 1st Lieutenant in Iraq in 2008 and was awarded multiple medals for her exceptional service including the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal. When Stephanie returned from Baghdad, Iraq, she developed and produced, along with her husband, Emio, a half-hour special titled “To Baghdad & Back” for WIBW using the footage she shot on a small handheld camcorder during her tour, which won a Kansas Association of Broadcasters Award.
Stephanie began her journalism career as an Assignment Editor at WIS-TV in 2006. Before that, she served as a public affairs officer in U.S. Army Reserve of the United States.
