Steven Williams is an American actor in films and television. He is best known for his roles as Captain Adam Fuller on 21 Jump Street, Lt. Jefferson Burnett on The Equalizer, Det. August Brooks on L.A. Heat, X on The X-Files, Russell “Linc” Lincoln in Linc’s, and Rufus Turner in Supernatural. Steven was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Chicago, where he worked as a postal carrier, salesman, and model.

In 1996 Steven later played Det. August Brooks on the short lived TNT series L.A. Heat. He also had a recurring role as X on the Fox hit science fiction series The X-Files. He starred as Russell “Linc” Lincoln in Linc’s. He later played Rufus Turner in Supernatural.
He appeared in The Blues Brothers (1980) as Trooper Mount. Other film roles include playing Nester in the 1985 sequel film Missing in Action 2: The Beginning, and in the 1993 horror film Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday as a bounty hunter named Creighton Duke.
Steven has also made many guest starring appearances on television shows, including The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, Booker, MacGyver, Stargate SG-1, Martin, Veronica Mars, The Bernie Mac Show, Criminal Minds and iZombie.

Steven played Rufus Turner in Supernatural. This is a dark fantasy television series created by Eric Kripke. The series was first broadcast on September 13, 2005, on The WB, and subsequently became part of successor The CW’s lineup. It stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester. The series follows the two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings

X, which is sometimes referred to as Mr. X, is a fictional character on the American science fiction television series The X-Files. It is portrayed in the series by Steven, and made his debut in the second season episode “The Host”. Although the character would not appear on-screen until “Sleepless”, two episodes later. The role had originally been conceived as female, with Natalija Nogulich cast in the role; however, her initial scenes were deemed unsatisfactory by the producers, leading to her replacement. Williams’ portrayal of X was intended to introduce a personality completely different to the character’s predecessor, Deep Throat, and was positively received by critics and fans.
