Tina Simpkin holds the role of morning meteorologist for CBC in the Maritimes, with her base located in Halifax. She provides weather updates for morning shows in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick.

Boasting over two decades of experience in the field of meteorology, Tina brings a substantial wealth of knowledge in both weather forecasting and live broadcasting.

Tina’s most recent professional endeavor was at Environment Canada in Edmonton, where she dedicated four years to her meteorological work. Prior to that, she spent six years as a meteorologist at CTV in the Maritimes.

Tina’s meteorological expertise also extends beyond Canada. She has worked as a broadcast meteorologist in the United States, covering locations like Indianapolis and Kansas City. Her proficiency in the field is recognized by her membership in the American Meteorological Society and her possession of a television seal of approval.

Tina’s current role with CBC allows her to combine her twin passions: weather and broadcasting.
