Todd Kurtz is an American journalist. Todd Kurtz is a co-anchor of KOAT Action 7 News accredited with top local and national stories to the latest Albuquerque weather news.  Todd joined the station from Fargo, ND. It began out pretty casual, and the two just began hanging out. It took eight months before Kelly could get a job transfer to Albuquerque, meaning lots of airfare in the meantime. Later Kelly became permanent Albuquerque resident, Kurtz proposed in August in Taos near a waterfall in 2014. The couple got married in August on Todd’s grandparents’ ranch in South Dakota.

Golf is a great passion for Todd. With a five handicap he is looking forward to trying out the wonderful courses throughout New Mexico.

And he’s looking forward to seeing more, “Touring New Mexico and seeing all the mountains and volcanos …safe to say this is nothing like what I’ve known and it’s perfect! I can’t wait to get out and take in the wonders of this vast state.”

After Todd graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead, Todd took a job at WDAY-TV, the #1 station in Fargo, as a reporter. He eventually worked his way up the ladder at the ABC affiliate. Soon, Todd was producing and anchoring the morning show at WDAY. Shortly thereafter, Todd moved to weekend producer and anchor. He was then promoted to anchoring Monday-Friday.

Todd was impressed with the Land of Enchantment on his first trip to New Mexico. “I had no idea what to expect when I came to visit Albuquerque. I was hooked while flying in and seeing all the golf courses below.”
