Tom is not a native Houstonian, but he has cherished memories of Texas from his childhood visits with family in the area. Those recollections include surfing in the Gulf, exploring NASA during the Apollo era, and obtaining his first cowboy hat.
Since joining FOX 26 in 1998, Tom has taken on various roles, wearing different hats in his career. These roles have included serving as an investigative reporter, taking on the station’s role as the consumer advocate, known as the ‘Problem Solver,’ and contributing to the highly successful Predator Check project. He has covered both the triumphs and tragedies of the region, such as the Aggie Bonfire collapse, the Shuttle Columbia disaster, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Astros’ 2005 World Series journey, and the two Super Bowls held at NRG Stadium. Tom’s unwavering commitment is to seek out stories and meet the remarkable individuals shaping the news, all while sharing their narratives with the world.
When he’s not on the job, you can often find Tom on a bicycle, pedaling along the roads of Texas. He actively engages in charitable causes, including his support for the National MS Society. Tom’s dedication extends to his family, and he enjoys sharing his Texas adventure with his wife and two daughters.
