Tommy became a part of the CNYCentral team during the summer of 2018, marking a significant step in his career. His professional journey before this was diverse and impactful.
Before his move to Syracuse, Tommy spent two years anchoring, producing, and reporting for the CBS affiliate KRCG 13 in Jefferson City, Missouri. During his time in the Midwest, he tackled a wide array of stories, ranging from boat explosions at the Lake of the Ozarks to the resignation of Missouri Governor Eric Greitens. In recognition of his journalistic prowess, he received an award from the Kansas City Press Club in 2018 for the best ‘multi-media package.’
Tommy’s introduction to the world of television occurred during a high school communications class. His academic path led him to Temple University, where he majored in media studies and production, with a minor in public relations. During his college years, he contributed to multiple student-run Emmy-award winning shows, including Temple Update and Owl Sports Update.
Born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia, Tommy is an unwavering fan of Philly sports. His dedication to his home team led him to fly back from Missouri for a mere 24 hours, just to witness the Eagles’ Super Bowl parade – a testament to his passion.
Tommy takes immense pride in being a part of the CNY community and is thrilled to be back on the east coast, where he undoubtedly belongs.
Outside of his professional commitments, Tommy finds enjoyment in spending time with family and friends, exploring new places through travel, and staying active, embodying a well-rounded and vibrant approach to life.
