Tony’s illustrious career at WSAZ has spanned an impressive five decades. When he’s not diligently tracking storms, he can often be found immersed in the vibrant world of county fairs, parades, festivals, and show choirs. His passion lies in highlighting the extraordinary events that define life in the heart of Appalachia.

In terms of education, Tony holds a Master of Science in Meteorology from Penn State and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Drexel University. He is deeply connected to the field of meteorology, being an esteemed member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS).

Tony’s dedication and contributions have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by his well-deserved awards and recognitions. In 2018, he received the Virginias Lifetime Achievement Award, solidifying his remarkable career. The same year, he was honored with a place in the WV Broadcasting Hall of Fame, a testament to his significant impact on the broadcasting industry. Furthermore, he was inducted into the Middle Atlantic Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018, reflecting his multifaceted talents and achievements.
