Tony, originally from the Johnstown area, spent his early years in Windber before his family’s relocation to the Pittsburgh region, where they were involved in the family business. After returning to Johnstown, Tony completed his education at Richland High School. His passion for meteorology led him to pursue certification from Mississippi State University, becoming a certified meteorologist.
Notably, Tony holds the prestigious seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society, demonstrating his adherence to their rigorous standards for on-air weather forecasting. He is also an active member of the National Weather Association.
His meteorological expertise has been well-recognized, and in 2016, Tony took on the role of Chief Meteorologist after contributing 13 years to WJAC.
Outside of his busy career, Tony finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and two children, making the most of the diverse weather patterns in west-central Pennsylvania.
