Tony Phan, a reporter with News 4-Fox 11, began his career in journalism after graduating from college and is excited about his new role in Reno. He proudly holds a degree in Broadcast and Journalism from Cal State Fullerton in Southern California, where he was inspired to pursue a career in media during high school, where he served as the video commissioner for his class.

During his college years, Tony completed internships at NBCUniversal, specifically with NBCLA and E! News, solidifying his passion for journalism. His ultimate goal is to become a correspondent or entertainment reporter.

Tony hails from Tustin, a smaller city adjacent to the well-known Irvine. He comes from a large family with three sisters, and his parents are hardworking immigrants from Vietnam, whom he aims to make proud with his career.

In his free time, Tony enjoys the beach, reading, hanging out with friends, and seeking new adventures. He’s particularly fond of cliff diving and is always on the lookout for great spots. Tony is eager to embark on this new journey in northern Nevada and is looking forward to connecting with the local community.
