Tracy Taylor became an invaluable addition to the KIRO 7 RealTime Traffic Team in April 2017, bringing with her over 15 years of experience in handling traffic updates in the Seattle market, spanning both television and radio.
Tracy’s journey in the world of broadcasting began during her college years at North Idaho College, where she started as an intern. This initial step paved the way for her first full-time radio job in Spokane. Her radio career led her to different parts of the country, including Alabama and North Carolina. However, her passion for television always burned bright, and the opportunity arose when she stepped into the role of a weekend weather fill-in at KREM in Spokane.
In 2010, Tracy made a pivotal decision to transition away from radio, focusing on full-time traffic reporting for an NBC affiliate.
As an Eastern Washington native, Tracy Taylor has a deep-rooted love for her Gonzaga Bulldogs and unwavering support for the Seattle Seahawks, reflecting her loyalty to her hometown and its teams.
Family plays a significant role in her life. Tracy, alongside her husband Kyle, is the proud parent of a highly active 11-year-old who is passionate about dance and soccer. Their family also includes two miniature dachshunds. Beyond her professional and family commitments, Tracy is a staunch supporter of animal organizations, highlighting her dedication to the welfare of animals.
Tracy’s love for outdoor activities is evident in her interests. She enjoys freshwater fishing, partaking in snow sports, and savoring the experience of live music performances.
Listeners and viewers can catch Tracy Taylor every weekday from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. alongside Rachel Calderon for RealTime Team Traffic, exclusively on KIRO 7, where her expertise in traffic reporting shines.
