Trevor Drew became a part of the 7&4 News team in July 2019, taking on the role of Digital Content Producer.

Trevor’s roots can be traced back to the Metro-Detroit area, but he also has strong ties to his family’s cottage on Walloon Lake, where he spent several summers. His educational journey led him to Northern Michigan University, where he pursued studies in multimedia journalism. While in Marquette, Trevor took on various roles at NMU’s independent student newspaper, the North Wind, serving as the opinion, sports, and news editor.

After earning his degree, Trevor ventured into the world of reporting at the Arenac County Independent. In this role, he covered an array of events, including city meetings, crime and court cases, and even annual polka concerts.

Being a proud Michigander who has lived in various parts of the state, Trevor has a deep affection for all things Michigan. This includes savoring Coney dogs, sipping on Bell’s Oberon, and enjoying the thrill of water skiing behind a boat.

Beyond the newsroom, Trevor unwinds by indulging in music, watching movies with friends, and, above all, simply relaxing.
