Trevor Matich, a former NFL player, made his mark at ESPN Radio’s “College GameDay” in 2007. This day-long program, which runs from noon to 7 p.m. ET during the college football season, offers comprehensive coverage of the day’s action, featuring analysis, opinions, news updates, and reports from key games. Trevor is not limited to radio; he also provides college football analysis for various ESPN shows, including “SportsCenter,” “College Football Live,” “College GameDay,” “Outside the Lines,” and ESPN Radio studio programming.
In his NFL career, Trevor Matich was a first-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 1985 and played in the league for 12 seasons, concluding his journey with the Washington Redskins in 1996.
During his time at Brigham Young University, Matich excelled as a two-time All-Western Athletic Conference center, notably leading the Cougars to the 1984 NCAA Football Championship.
Post-NFL, Matich transitioned into the world of sports analysis. He briefly served as an analyst for Fox Sports’ NFL coverage. His roles included calling NFL-Europe games in the spring of 1998 and covering the Air Force-Navy game for the Military Channel in the same year. For the 1999 and 2000 seasons, he had a busy schedule of nationally broadcast college games for Fox Sports Net. In 2001, he joined the CBS Sports NFL team. Alongside his work at ESPN, Trevor currently serves as an analyst for Comcast SportsNet Washington, specializing in coverage of the Washington Redskins, where he has earned nine Emmy awards.
