Tyler Feldman became part of the WITN Sports team in August 2018, taking on the role of a weekend anchor and reporter. During the pandemic, he transitioned into a fill-in news anchor role seamlessly.
Proudly hailing from Pittsburgh, Tyler is also a Penn State alumnus, holding dual degrees in broadcast journalism and business marketing.
His accomplishments include placing first in the RTDNAC awards for best sports reporting with his story titled “Timeout for Kindness.”
In his role in Eastern North Carolina, Tyler has covered a wide range of events, from ECU and high school athletics to major events like the 2019 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, and the Carolina Hurricanes’ remarkable 2019 Stanley Cup Playoff run. He even had the opportunity to take a spin around Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Before joining Greenville, Tyler spent two years as a sports anchor and reporter at WBNG in Binghamton, New York. During his time at WBNG, he won awards for “Outstanding Sportscast” and “Outstanding Documentary Program” in the 2017 NYSBA 51st Annual Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting.
Notably, Tyler was the first to report on the sale of the Carolina Panthers and Penn State football’s past two offensive coordinator hires.
During his senior year at Penn State, he had a memorable experience announcing two Nittany Lion baseball games in Havana, Cuba.
Tyler’s broadcasting work has taken him to various professional venues, including Madison Square Garden, PPG Paints Arena, Wells Fargo Center, MetLife Stadium, M&T Bank Stadium, and EverBank Field.
Before his role at WITN, Tyler interned and worked at reputable organizations such as MLB Network, Big Ten Network, GoPSUsports.com, 105.9 FM The X, 970 AM ESPN, and WTAJ.
Standing at 6 feet 2 inches, Tyler is excited to be in Greenville and is looking forward to delivering top-notch sports coverage alongside Billy Weaver in Eastern Carolina.
