In November 2020, Tyler embarked on a new chapter in his broadcasting career when he joined WBKB as Alpena’s weekday news anchor. Hailing from Cranston, Rhode Island, Tyler’s roots are firmly grounded in his love for sports, fishing, and hiking.
His academic journey led him to the University of Rhode Island, where he pursued Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Journalism. During his time at the university, Tyler developed a passion for reporting on campus events and athletics. He even took on the role of color commentator for URI Sports on the student radio station.
As he approached his senior year, Tyler seized the opportunity to intern with Fox Providence, where he gained invaluable experience covering events and even reporting on the New England Patriots. Beyond his professional life, Tyler finds joy in the simple pleasures of cooking, golfing, and savoring the great outdoors.
