Tyler brings a wealth of reporting experience to Lima, Ohio. Before arriving there, he served as a reporter for KBMT in Beaumont, Texas, where he spent the last two years covering a range of stories, including breaking news, severe weather, and feature pieces. His work in Beaumont earned him a couple of awards, including a regional Murrow award for his coverage of John William King’s execution.
Originally from Salinas, California, Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Media from Oklahoma State University, which he earned in 2017. His journalism journey began at KEYC in Mankato, Minnesota, where he worked as a news reporter before making his way to Texas.
Outside of his sports reporting duties in Ohio, you might find Tyler hanging out with friends, watching movies, or embarking on spontaneous adventures.
