During his time at Eastern Illinois University, Vince made waves in the world of journalism. He served as a sports/news anchor and reporter for the university’s TV Station, WEIU News Watch, contributing to their nightly live 30-minute newscast. On campus, he showcased his versatility as an On-Air personality at Hit-Mix 88.9 WEIU, while also covering sports as a reporter for The Daily Eastern Newspaper and providing play-by-play commentary for various Eastern Illinois University sports via the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network.

In the summer of 2018, Vince secured an internship at NBC Sports Chicago, where he excelled as a Digital/Multi-Platform Intern, contributing as a sportswriter for their website.

His commitment to journalism extended beyond reporting. Vince served as the Vice President of Eastern Illinois University’s Chapter of the Society of Collegiate Journalists and was a proud member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Vince’s journey into journalism began in high school, where he discovered his passion for play-by-play commentary during his junior and senior years, broadcasting varsity baseball and basketball games “live” on YouTube.

Outside of his journalistic pursuits, Vince enjoys immersing himself in the world of Rock and Roll music, embracing the outdoors, exploring new destinations through travel, and indulging in his love for sports, particularly the White Sox. As a fervent Chicago sports fan, he cherishes moments spent with family and friends.
