Whitney Ashton Irick serves as the Social Media Lead and a Digital News Producer at NBC4 in Southern California. She’s an alumna of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, where she earned a master’s degree. Additionally, she holds a degree in print, online, and broadcast journalism from Pepperdine University.
Before taking on her role as a digital content producer, Whitney gained experience as a news associate at NBC4 and completed two digital news internships with the station’s web team. Her dedication to journalism also shone through during her time at Pepperdine, where she served as the president and online managing editor of the university’s award-winning weekly student newspaper and website.
