Winston Reed’s journey began in Chesterfield, Virginia, in 1984 when he was born. From a young age, he developed a deep fascination for television, sports, and movies, which would eventually shape his career path.
Winston’s foray into the world of journalism took its first step at Old Dominion University, where he enrolled in his inaugural TV news and reporting class. This experience ignited his passion for storytelling and reporting.
In May of 2018, Winston earned his Communications degree, marking a significant milestone in his educational journey. Shortly thereafter, he secured his inaugural television job as an editor with NBC 12 Richmond, where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience.
By October of 2019, Winston made a pivotal move, officially joining the WDEF News 12 Now team as a reporter and producer, furthering his career in journalism.
Beyond the newsroom, Winston’s interests span a wide spectrum, encompassing sports, movies, pop culture, travel, and the great outdoors. He is a well-rounded individual with a passion for exploring diverse aspects of life.
