Jon was dating actress and screenwriter Jennifer Westfeldt from 1997 to 2015.

During an interview discussion about his relationship with Westfeldt, Hamm said: “We may not have a piece of paper that says we’re husband and wife, but after 10 years, Jennifer is more than just a girlfriend. What we have is much deeper and we both know that. To me, people get married when they’re ready to have kids, which I’m not ruling out.”  Together with Westfeldt, Hamm has appeared in Gap-related campaign advertisements.  Hamm and Westfeldt formed their own production company, Points West Pictures in April 2009. Both are advocates of animal rescue and have adopted a mixed breed dog named Cora from the Much Love Animal Shelter in California. Jon Hamm Mad Men

Jon in 2007  made his breakthrough role, when he was cast from more than 80 candidates as the protagonist character Don Draper, in AMC’s drama series Mad Men. The series were set in a fictional 1960s advertising agency.  Jon played a suave, married advertising executive with an obscure past. He remembered “I read the script for Mad Men and I loved it. […] I never thought they’d cast me—- I mean, I thought they’d go with one of the five guys who look like me but are movie stars”.  Jon has a believe that an actor with a “proven track record” would likely have been chosen if another network had broadcast the show.

He went through a number of auditions; each time he explained to the casting directors what he could bring to the character, if given the part.  Both Alan Taylor and Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner at first they thought Hamm was too handsome for the role but ultimately decided, “it was perfect to cast sort of the perfect male in this part”. Weiner also discovered that the actor had suffered early loss of his parents, which was similar to Draper’s backstory.  Jon says that he used memories of his father to portray Draper, a well-dressed, influential man of business and society  hiding great inner turmoil and experiencing changes in the world beyond his control.

On July 19, 2007 Mad Men debuted , with almost 1.4 million viewers.  It developed a loyal audience, with Hamm receiving strong reviews. Robert Bianco of USA Today was complimentary of Hamm’s performance, describing the actor’s interpretation of Draper as a “starmaking performance”. The Boston Globe’s Matthew Gilbert termed Hamm a “brilliant lead”.

Jon Hamm Vitiligo

Jon’s stress induced vitiligo. He  says that the condition developed as a result of working on his hit TV show. His  condition fluctuates in severity and primarily effects his hands.  Vitiligo is a condition that effects the pigments of an individual’s skin. The cause of vitiligo is unknown and stress can worsen the disorder. Vitiligo can be treated by applying steroids and using ultraviolet light. In extreme cases an individual may opt to de-pigment their unaffected skin so that it blends in with the patches effected by vitiligo.

Jon Hamm Batman

Jon has interest in playing Batman as long as the script is good.

In an interview with  Graham Bensinger  for his series In Depththat was posted online in September 2018 the former Mad Men star said he has always been a comic book fan and, yes, had given some thought to playing the Caped Crusader. But, there are some conditions.

“It depends on the script, what the story is,” the actor told Bensinger. “I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I’ve read comic books since I was 9 or younger. And I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they’re done well.”

Jon Hamm Bulge | Jon Hamm Commando |Jon Hamm Underwear | Jon Hamm Wang

Jon isn’t a fan of underwear. This isn’t all that surprising, as lots of guys prefer to go commando.  But when you’re as packing in the crotch area as Jon  is and you don’t sport underwear  well, people notice.

Hamm was on last night’s episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden to promote his latest film, Bad Times at the El Royale, and Hamm and Corden played a (really gross) game called “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.” We’ve seen him play the game before with Cher, who famously ate a bite of cow tongue instead of say one nice thing about Donald Trump. During this time this is the question he was asked by James “There’s been a lot of talk online about what people refer to as the Hammaconda. Show me with your hands how big the Hammaconda really is.”
