A true Oklahoman, Brent was born and raised in the state, and he has been a devoted Channel 4 fan for as long as he can remember. His connection with the network goes way back, as he even made an appearance on Danny’s Day as an infant. He fondly recalls calling in for morning contests on the Butch and Ben McCain show.
Brent’s journey in the world of journalism began in the summer of 1993 when he first set foot in the KFOR newsroom. Fresh out of Bishop McGuinness High School, he interned for The Barrys before embarking on his freshman year of college at the Newhouse School of Journalism at Syracuse University.
His career has been marked by various achievements, including being an award-winning Sports Anchor at stations in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Amarillo, Texas. However, his deep connection to his hometown led him back to Oklahoma City, where he covered sports from 1999 to 2007.
From 2007 to 2013, Brent took on a different role as the host of Oklavision, a travel show focused on showcasing the beauty and attractions of the state of Oklahoma.
Beyond his work in journalism, Brent enjoys a range of activities. He’s passionate about working out, has a penchant for golf, loves to cook, and cherishes spending quality time with his family, who are all based in Oklahoma City.
