Bryan Dattilo joined the cast of DAYS back in 1993 as Lucas Roberts, the son of Kate Roberts who later learned his father was Bill Horton. He was part of the popular teen scene in the ‘90s alongside castmates Alison Sweeney (Sami), Christie Clark (Carrie), and Austin Peck (Austin). Dattilo has come and gone a few times over the years, briefly in 2001 and for a longer stretch in 2010. He brought Lucas back to Salem in 2012, and has remained ever since.
Having created the role back in 1993, the actor taped his last scenes leading up to his February 2010 contract expiration. Apparently, Days of Our Lives notified him, before the show went on holiday leave, that they would not be picking up his next cycle.
