Todd Gutner holds the position of Chief Meteorologist at NEWS CENTER Maine in Portland, Maine. His journey in the field of meteorology is a testament to his commitment to providing accurate weather information to the community.

Todd Gutner earned his degree in Meteorology from the State University of New York at Oneonta. His dedication to the craft has been recognized with an Emmy nomination and the prestigious AMS Seal of Approval.

His career in broadcast meteorology began at NEWS CENTER Maine in 2000 when he assumed the role of a weekend meteorologist. He held this position until 2007 when he made the transition to Boston to work for WBZ. During his time at WBZ, from 2007 to August 2014, Todd held various positions, including handling evening and morning duties from Monday through Friday. He also hosted a weekly gardening segment called “Gardening With Gutner,” where he collaborated with local gardening experts to demonstrate various home gardening techniques. Additionally, Todd actively engaged with the community by visiting hundreds of elementary schools.

In October 2014, Todd Gutner made a homecoming to the NEWS CENTER Maine family, recognizing that the way of life in Maine is truly, “The way life should be.” He has a genuine love for contributing to the community, particularly in his interactions with children.

Todd, alongside his wife Rachel, has established their family in the greater Portland area, where they are raising twins, a son, and a daughter. Embracing the natural beauty of Maine, he enjoys gardening, family hikes, beach outings, and various outdoor activities. While his children occupy most of his time and attention, Todd finds moments to indulge in his love for sports and explore the diverse culinary offerings that Maine has to offer.
