Teachers, if you’re interested in arranging a classroom visit for the upcoming school year, Todd Warren, Chief Meteorologist at KTAL since 2001, is available to connect with your students. Todd brings over 31 years of weather forecasting experience, with a notable 23-year history of serving the ArkLaTex region. He started his meteorology career in Columbia, MO, and has been a weather enthusiast ever since.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Todd’s journey led him to various roles, including being a meteorologist at KOMU-TV and even hosting the Missouri Lottery’s nightly Pick 3 drawing. Before becoming the Chief Meteorologist at KTAL, he spent six years as the morning meteorologist at the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati.

The ArkLaTex area holds a special place in Todd’s heart. He first moved to Shreveport in 1987, where he worked at KTBS-TV. It was during this time that he met his wife and started their family, which has now grown to include four children, including a set of twins. All four children are either graduates or current students at Louisiana Tech University.

With his American Meteorology Society seal of approval earned in 1988, Todd is not only passionate about weather but also enjoys sharing his knowledge with students during school visits. Beyond his meteorological pursuits, he dabbles in hobbies like golf and stock market investing.
