Tori Gessner became a valued member of the WAVE 3 News team in June 2020, taking on the role of a multimedia journalist.
Originally hailing from Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tori has eagerly embraced Kentucky as her new home. Her career in journalism led her to the CBS affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she spent two productive years. During her time in the Palmetto State, she covered several major stories, including the tragic ambush and killing of seven law enforcement officers in Florence, South Carolina, the historic flooding in Horry County in 2018, and two significant hurricanes, Florence and Dorian.
Tori holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from the University of South Carolina, and she proudly identifies as a Gamecock.
When she’s not capturing stories with her camera, you’ll often find Tori indulging in the culinary delights of Louisville or exploring local shops. Her passion for storytelling is evident, and she’s eager to share your stories.
