Trishna Begam, a dedicated journalist, joined NEWS10ABC in September 2012 and has made a significant impact in the field of news reporting. She currently co-anchors the 7 pm newscast on Fox23 alongside Lydia Kulbida.

Trishna’s commitment to covering critical breaking news has taken her to various locations, including Sandy Hook, Connecticut, where she reported on the tragic school shooting massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, and to Boston to provide coverage of the Marathon Bombings.

Her work extends beyond regular reporting, as she has been involved in producing special reports. Notably, her series of stories delving into the heroin epidemic in the Capital Region and addressing school bullying concerns were both nominated for New York Emmy Awards.

Before making Albany her home, Trishna’s career took her to Augusta, Georgia, where she reported and anchored for WRDW, and to Abilene, Texas, where she covered breaking news and the crime and courts beat for KTXS.

Trishna is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia, and her passion for journalism dates back to her college days when she interned at WAGA FOX5 in Atlanta. During this time, she worked alongside I-Team reporters, engaged in undercover investigative work, and researched stories to expose instances of fraud.

Throughout her career at News10, Trishna’s dedication and hard work were recognized when she accepted an Emmy Award for her reporting. She is equally proud of her community involvement and has generously volunteered her time with organizations like Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Capital Region, HOPE Soars for Parkinson’s, and JDREF.

When she’s not at work, Trishna cherishes moments spent with her family. She resides in Latham with her husband, Nolan, her son, Konrad, and her loyal dog, Walter.
