Tylisa Hampton is a multimedia journalist at KVEO, the CBS and NBC affiliate in Harlingen, Texas. She became part of the team in July 2020.
Her journey began at the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a specialization in Broadcast. During her college years, she took on internships that allowed her to cover Supreme Court rulings in Washington D.C. with “To The Contrary” on PBS. Tylisa also interned at KARK and Fox 16 KLRT, the NBC and Fox affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Tylisa is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and takes pride in her affiliation with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, The Theta Mu Chapter.
In her free time, she finds joy in reading novels, exploring new travel destinations, hiking, adventurous outings, and cheering for Arkansas Football. Go Hogs!
Originally hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, Tylisa is excited to be a part of the Valley community in Texas.
