Victoria Whitley-Berry, known by both she and they pronouns, serves as a director and producer for NPR’s “Morning Edition.” Additionally, she briefly contributed to the production of NPR’s history podcast “Throughline.” Her journey with NPR began in 2016 when she joined as an intern for “All Things Considered” during the weekend. Throughout her tenure at NPR, she has tackled diverse topics, including LGBTQ representation in children’s television, the far-reaching effects of U.S. sanctions on Iran, coverage of the first legally recognized same-sex marriage ceremony in the United States, and up-close reporting on Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, often from the heart of his mobile campaign bus in rural Iowa.

When Victoria isn’t at the helm of “Morning Edition” during the overnight hours, she directs special coverage for NPR.
