Will Hutchison’s journey began in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he spent the first 18 years of his life before relocating to Norman to pursue higher education at the University of Oklahoma. In May 2015, he proudly graduated from OU, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.
Will’s association with the KSWO team commenced in July 2015 when he took on the role of the producer for the 5:00 p.m. newscast. Later that year, in November, he transitioned into a reporter role, marking the beginning of his reporting career.
During his college years, Will juggled various jobs, including waiting tables and bartending. He also gained valuable experience through an internship in the Corporate Communications department for the Oklahoma City Thunder, nurturing his passion for sports. As a devoted sports enthusiast, Will passionately supports teams like the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma City Thunder, Oakland Raiders, and Toronto Blue Jays. When he’s not reporting or watching sports, he enjoys playing pickup basketball, possesses a skillful skyhook, has a penchant for movies (especially bad movies and those featuring Nicolas Cage), and considers himself an average fantasy football player.
